Shaily Jain, MD

Diplomate, American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
Jan 1, 2010 –Present Private Practice, The Cairn Center, Las Vegas, NV
Dr. Jain is passionate about diagnostic evaluations and offers many second opinions and consultations across the Vegas valley. She believes that best treatment outcomes result from diagnostic evaluation that evolves in the context of an individual being treated as a whole and not just a set of symptoms and medications, if warranted, used as a tool in conjunction with psychotherapy and other treatment modalities. In addition, symptom control should only be seen as a milestone towards to road to wellness and creating a life worth living. Dr. Jain firmly holds the belief that spending quality time (as opposed to rushed medication management visits) geared towards establishing a comprehensive treatment plan is key to quality mental health treatment especially as comorbidities are often a rule and people are complex that need a provider knowledgeable in multiple treatment modalities to understand them layer-by-layer. She does not participate in managed care and to read more about her approach to treatment and why she chose to opt out of managed care, read Managed Care section under our care model.

Dr. Jain has particular interest in treating Mood Disorders especially Unipolar and Bipolar depression, Anxiety disorders, ADHD and Borderline personality disorder. She has a keen interest in Reproductive Psychiatry, which aims to diagnose and treat mental health issues that maybe related to a woman’s reproductive cycle, including the menstrual cycle, pregnancy and menopause.

Although she has many patients that she provides psychotherapy services without any medications, she enjoys practicing dynamic psychopharmacology in a collaborative care model with Cairn Center therapists and local community therapists, Internists and Family Practice and Pain Management Physicians.
