Caasi O’Day

Caasi O’Day attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, graduating with her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work in 2005. After graduation she began work as a program coordinator and youth mentor at an adolescent homeless shelter serving the Las Vegas area. During her tenure she provided substance abuse counseling and developed various life skills classes for her clients.

In 2006, Caasi began her work with treatment foster children. In 2009 Caasi earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. During her post-graduate internship she provided psychotherapy to severely emotionally disturbed children and adolescents. She also created support groups and training classes for parents. During this time she aided numerous families with reunification.

Caasi transitioned to an outpatient therapy center in 2012, after she became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. At this time she also began receiving training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). She went on to design and solely facilitate an intensive outpatient Dialectical Behavioral Therapy based program that has served hundreds of adults suffering from debilitating depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation and self-harming behaviors. In 2014 she served as a mentor to other clinicians and assisted in the creation of an adolescent DBT based program as well.

Caasi has received training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Emotional Regulatory Healing and Play Therapy. Caasi has won leadership and clinical awards throughout her career due to her creative and dedicated approach which has been instrumental in helping her clients achieve their treatment goals.

Caasi has worked with hundreds of children and adults since earning her licensure. She prides herself in her ability to engage resistant and challenging clients. Caasi emphasizes a family approach to therapy when appropriate to ensure parents are fully aware of the treatment their children are receiving.

Resources and reading material are always available for clients who are interested in expanding their knowledge base. Caasi is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Nevada and furthers her professional development through continuing education on the latest research and techniques. Caasi has professional affiliations with the National Association of Social Workers and the Nevada Psychological Association.
